In
2001, Studio B was enlarged, rebuilt, and transformed
into a beautiful and highly functional recording and
mix room with improved acoustics and a more pleasing
environment.
A 64 channel API Legacy sits front and centre in the
control room and a ProTools HD3 Accel system along with
a Studer 827 analog recorder and an Ampex 100 1/2”
tape machine meet all recording & mix requirements.
Mains speakers have two 18” woofers a piece allowing
for loud monitoring when required.

Outboard gear is extensive and reverb systems include
an EMT plate, a Lexicon 480 and 960.
There is seating for ten in the control room, including
a four seat reclining sofa and three “producers”
stools.
The recording booth is a comfortable size and suitable
for vocalists, overdubs and smaller ensembles. The mic
collection is extensive and when combined with various
outboard mic pre's or the API’s in the console,
a wide variety of world class sounds are attainable.
There is a private lounge attached to the studio proper
with amenities such as plasma tv, wired and wireless
internet, a Mac computer, leather sofa, tie lines wired
to the studio hi fi and more.
Artists who have worked in Studio B include Bono, Jann
Arden, Anne Murray, Nellie Furtado, Ludacris, Akon,
Stars, Kardinal Offishall, and many more.
